Sampling Stock

You have been given a box of each flavour for sampling in the store, take 1 box of each flavour in with you at all times

Please take one tea bag out of each box and try these at home before your demonstration so you know what this tastes like.

COVID GUIDELINES

All staff are required to download the government Covid tracer app onto their phones, and record/check in their visit on arrival to the store

Mechanics of Preparation

You can fill your airpot with boiled hot water at home to save time in the store, fill this to the top and put this on lock so there is no spills.  The airport must be on lock at all times when you are not using this in the store as well

Set up the table as per the photo

The table has 6 parts to it:

·      Firstly place the stainless steel base on the ground

·      Then wrap the white corflute around the base matching the Velcro

·      Then place the white table top on top of the corflute, it will slot in, making sure the 2 holes are at the back of the table

·      Get the red Bell Tea wrap, and wrap that around the white corflute

·      The poles are a set of 2; interlock these and place them in the holes at the back of the table

·      Velcro the header card onto the poles

·      Put Store stock from the shelf for consumers to put in their trolley

·      Put our stock and equipment under the table so this is tidy

When you have the table up and the store stock on the table you are ready to sample

NB: Only sample what the store stocks  - they should have both flavours

Put two glass jugs on the table

Take one tea bag of each flavour and put it in the glass jug

Pump the hot water from the airpot into your measure cup to 250ml, then pour this into your glass jug

Put a box of the flavour that you are sampling next to the glass jug so shoppers can see what the flavour is

Leave the tea bag in the glass jug for 3 minutes and then discard

Do not pre-pour the sample

When the customer has chosen what flavour they would like to try, out of the 2 choices, please pour this into the plastic cups.  This is just a taste, so please fill only a quarter of the cup.

You will get 10 samples from one glass jug

You shouldn’t go through any more than 12 bags in the shift per day ( no more than 6 bags each flavour but will depend how busy the store is )

Consumers are welcome to try both flavours.

Always have our 2 boxes of demo stock under the table so nothing is mixed up with the store’s stock.

If you need more hot water you should be able to get this from the Stores Staff room, please check

If you need to leave your table for any reason, such as to get more stock for your table, please do not leave any samples on the table – this is a strict health and safety rule.

No children are to be offered a sample.

So many consumers know of Bell Tea but as the original Black tea, this is an opportunity to tell them that there is a new range of black tea – now in a flavour.

Engage with the consumers and tell them the features of the products and talk about the whole range when they are at the table.

Communicate to the consumers the Bell Tea Delights range and the flavours.

Tell the shoppers about the in-store discount if there is one available.

Please take note of how many and what flavours the customers are taking to purchase from your table.

If you could please ask the customer to scan the QR code to answer 2 quick yes-no questions to help with feedback.

Please take note of how many samples  / or how many tea bags you have used of each flavour, you shouldn’t be going through any more than 6-7 bags of each variant per day.
