Product Information

THE BRAND

Philadelphia as a brand has been primarily linked to baking occasions.  Now there is an opportunity for Philly to expand into new consumption occasions.  We need to communicate Philly as a brand that is versatile across a range of different consumption occasions including baking, fresh produce, entertaining and every day snacking.

OPPORTUNITY

In August, Philadelphia will be bringing back Philadelphia inspired by Cadbury Caramilk for a limited time only.  Philly Caramilk is perfect for baking and snacking with fresh fruit.  To support this launch, we have the Caramilk Cheesecake for consumers to sample at the Auckland Foodshow.

At the Auckland Foodshow, we also want to show the versatility of our core Philadelphia Cream Cheese through a range of different consumption occasions – including fresh produce AND/OR fruit.

INTRODUCTION LINE

Caramilk Cheesecake:  “Hi, would you like to a sample fo the Caramilk Cheesecake?” (Philly Caramilk is the ultimate addition to your cheesecake recipe and is perfect as a dip for your sweet treats).

Philadelphia Core:  “Would you like to try the (Honey/Philly/Berry cups?, Veges with Philly pourover?, Cream Cheese Baguettes with salmon?, Crackers with tomatoes and Cream Cheese?”

COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT

With a range of competitive options, consumers have more choice than ever when it comes to Cream Cheese.  While still within a competitive pricing space, Philadelphia is priced at a slightly more premium than private label options, therefore we need to display Philly as  the premium cream cheese to validate its respective cost difference.
